2017 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2016, all NSW public schools will receive a 2017 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. The Partners in Learning Parent Feedback Survey

Until the end of Week 2 in Term 4 (October 21), our school will be participating in the Partners in Learning parent survey, another part of the Tell Them From Me suite of surveys (student, teacher and parent surveys) on student engagement. The survey asks parents and carers questions about different factors that are known to impact on student well-being and engagement. Stage 3 Canberra Excursion

We will be departing Wollongong Public School at 7.20am on Thursday the 8th of September It is expected that everyone will be at school by 6:50am as the roll will need to be marked and baggage loaded. District Athletics Carnival

Education Week 2016

Education Week is a celebration of public education. Education Week 2016 will be celebrated from 1 - 5 August. The theme for Education Week 2016 is 'Shared stories, better learning, stronger communities'. Join us on Friday the 5th of August at WPS to celebrate public education. School Pick Up Changes

After consultation with the parent group on Friday 24 June and discussion with the Wollongong City Council Rangers, it was agreed that Wollongong Public School will undertake a new pick up system in the afternoon, starting in Term 3, 2016. We understand that this new process will take some time to get used to, but if we continue to work together in a constructive manner, we will have a pick up system that will enhance the safety of all our students. Student Pick Up and Drop off information session at WPS. Friday 17 June 2016. 130-200

Parents are invited to attend a meeting and information session to discuss the pick-up and drop off of students in the morning and the afternoon at school. The meeting will take place on Friday 17 June 2016 between 1:30pm and 2pm. It will be held in the 4E classroom with a light afternoon tea provided. Canteen Menu


Dear parents and caregivers, In order to continue to support families that require the services of the canteen, we have been able to make arrangements with the Smiths Hill High School canteen to provide lunches for the students at Wollongong Public School every Monday and Friday, starting from 17 June 2017. Working Bee Postponed

Unfortunately due to the severe weather warning that has been issued for the Illawarra area we have been forced to postpone the working bee scheduled for this Sunday 5th June. Ms Boreland has been busy planning the activities and purchasing new plants and we don't want to risk of any our hard work going to waste. We would like to thank all of the volunteers who indicated they were coming on Sunday and hope that when we decide on another day that you and some extra volunteers can make it! ICAS Science Test Update

Due to a clash with our upcoming athletics carnival, the Science ICAS test will be moved to Monday, the 30th of May at 8.00am. As with all ICAS tests, students are to meet Mr Campbell at the western entrance of A-block (Church st side) at 7.55am for an 8.00am start.
